Georgia Football: Five Offensive Players Who Need to Breakout in Spring Practice
By W. M. Lawson
1. QB -Jacob Eason
In 2016, Jacob Eason strolled onto campus with as much fanfare as any player in recent University of Georgia history. Some argued that it was too much pressure too soon for an 18-year-old kid to thrive. Eason went on to play in all 13 games for Georgia Football, and thrive he did. The Freshman QB threw for 2430 yards, had a 55.1% completion percentage, and TD/INT break of 16 to 8.
That said, for UGA to accomplish their goals in 2017, Eason will need to take that next step. Most aren’t sure that the numbers need to improve all that much, but too many times he missed open receivers and seemed uncomfortable under center. As Eason grows, so grows Georgia. As Eason goes, so goes Georgia.
