Rochester was one of the first of the 2016 recruiting class to “Commit To The G” and the Georgia Football program. The 6-5, 316 lb man-child from Powder Springs was expected to contribute immediately, and he did. As a true Freshman, he played in 12 games, had 36 Tackles, 2 for a loss, and 2 sacks. More importantly, as the season progressed his conditioning improved as did his game awareness. Simply, he is a big bodied run stopper who can also open lanes for blitzing Linebackers.

The 2017 Spring Camp is a big opportunity for Rochester. With the absence of Trent Thompson (former #1 recruit in the nation and future first round NFL Draft pick) gone from the team until at least the summer due to medical issues, Julian Rochester can cement his place as the anchor of the D-Line, and the future spearhead of a nasty front seven.
