  1. Braves Continue Search to Add More Pitching

The old saying you can never have too much pitching? The Braves have taken that to heart adding a wealth of minor league talent and veteran arms to eat innings until that talent is ready. Even with all the names they have added the Braves have continued to look at top pitchers on the market including Jose Quintana.

Quintana would be a great long term addition to the Braves rotation and should be heavily pursued if at all possible to acquire him without breaking the farm system they have worked so hard to put back together.

Quintana isn’t an amazing pitcher but a very solid one who would anchor a rotation that has little talent that is Major League ready in the next season or two.

If the rumors are true and the Braves find a way to land Quintana he would put them back in the conversation of competing in the wild card race if even half of the Braves prospects that are expected to debut live up to expectations. The problem for the Braves with Quintana is going to be the price tag that the Sox have on their ace. With Sale going to the Red Sox for a huge haul they will be looking for something close to it for Quintana.
