There really isn’t much to write about this Redshirt Freshman Kicker from Roswell/ Lassiter High School. He hasn’t really had a chance to do much in Athens. Yet, if for some reason Rodrigo Blankenship (slide #1) can’t shore up the confidence of the coaches, Wasson has an opportunity. As a preferred walk-on, Wasson would have to perform well in games to receive a scholarship.

Wasson had a good career in High School, and garnered serious interest from both Alabama and Florida, before eventually deciding to play for the in-state school. If Blankenship, or the other cadre of Kickers who have now joined in Athens, can’t settle this thing, Wasson could slide in. We’ve already seen that Coach Smart will play a Freshman Kicker. If he can kick touch-backs, he might just be the guy.
