Garcia may be the biggest question mark in the Braves lineup, the veteran Cuban prospect has had his ups and downs the last two seasons but is expected to be the opening day starter. The biggest concern for Garica is his defense.

While improved his defensive metrics will show you that he is still a below average defender who may not be a part of the Braves long term plans. For now Garcia is the starter however, and Braves fans should expect a step back from the Cuban slugger as the game begins to catch up with him a bit.

Projected statline- .242 Average-.299 OBP- 31 Runs Scored-42 RBI-1 Stolen Base-14 Homers

Before you shake your head in disbelief take a look at Garcia’s track record the last two seasons and how lucky he has been at times. Eventually that luck will even out and this is the year that the Braves will find out Garcia is not the long term answer at 3rd. Rio Ruiz is making a push during Spring Training a push that if it continues in the minors will push Garcia right out of the starting lineup and onto the bench.

After the first two months of the season the lineup is likely to shift with Garcia hitting ahead of the pitcher in the everyday lineup.
