Carolina Panther and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs and Panthers are two similar teams so it is only fair that they are listed together. Both are division rivals and together will make up four of the Falcons sixteen games in 2017.  For the Panthers little seems to have changed for the team. Letting Josh Norman go seemed to have severely hurt their defense but with Cam Newton and a terrific offense they are going to be a very big challenge in 2017 especially when the Falcons travel to Charlotte.

Tampa Bay may be the closest team to challenging the Falcons for the division this season. They are the only team to beat the Falcons from their division last season and that could be the case again this year.  If you’re a Falcons fan reading that the Bucs have already added DeSean Jackson and are continuing to look to add depth is scary.

DeSean Jackson is an explosive receiver who has the ability to change the game with a single play. Jameis Winston will be a year older and a year better as well. Both of the games against the Bucs should be circled on your calendar the Falcons will not be the only playoff team from their division in 2017.
