  1. Julio Teheran

Teheran is an interesting fantasy option that has bounced back and forth over the last few seasons and left his fantasy value in question. Teheran had a nice season last year and in 2014 but struggled with consistency and pitch location in 2015. The one bad season has wiped away his “ace” value that and the fact he is not going to post an elite K rate.

Teheran is a solid number two or three on a fantasy team but should not be counted on to be an ace. While his inconsistency is more than likely behind him his numbers are not good enough to be considered a fantasy ace.

He is a player that you are going to want to target in later rounds in the draft or trade for if the price is reasonable.  Another factor to consider before targeting Teheran is his win total. He is unlikely to pile up many wins and while it may be a meaningless stat in many leagues it counts nonetheless.

Other Options:  If Teheran is overvalued in your league another potential starter to look at could be Rich Hill who produced like an ace last year when healthy.
