This ties in with weather, a bit. But it is a little different. How the club members and tournament officials decide to respond to the adverse weather will also be a factor as to who wins this thing. Weather will be up on Thursday and Friday. Wind and rain will reign. They won’t do anything about that other than clean and pristine.

Saturday and Sunday, however, will proffer a different look and feel. Sun will dry out the course, and the greens will get hard, fast, and slippery. They won’t be the lightening fast, putting on glass type of feel, but they will be quick and slick. The contours will catch, and putts will lip. How far do the fairways run? How fast will the greens roll? These things aren’t left to chance. Club members and officials will decide these things. We won’t know until Sunday.
