The Atlanta Hawks are set for their final home game of the season tonight. With only two games remaining in all before the playoffs the Hawks are hoping to continue the hot streak they started in Boston.

The Atlanta Hawks have gone from struggling against the likes of the Nets to winning three in a row against Boston and two against Cleveland. After a 26-point comeback on Sunday the Hawks will continue and try to stay hot in their final home game on Tuesday night.

Tuesday night the Hawks will be taking on the Charlotte Hornets in their final home game of the season before taking on the Pacers Wednesday. While neither game is a must win the Hawks will want to stay hot and continue to pile up wins heading into the playoffs.

The starting lineup may be the most interesting aspect to watch considering that the Hawks second unit has a lot to do with the winning streak against the top two seed in the East. Paul Millsap along with the second unit led the charge Sunday in a 26-point comeback highlighted by Paul hitting the tying buzzer beater on a jump ball.

Starting some of the second unit may be a good decision and “rest” the starters for the playoffs and see if they can continue to stay hot for the Hawks. Kent Bazemore and Mike Dunleavy were especially key in the hot streak and should be started sometime within the final two games of the season.

If the Hawks hold onto the 5th seed they will likely play Washington in the first round of the playoffs with the winner likely to take on Cleveland in the second round. The task of taking down the Cavs in the playoffs is going to be harder than it was in the regular season, and with that in mind the Hawks need to win their final two games to stay hot headed into the playoffs.
