Appearing in a Super Bowl has it’s perks for the Atlanta Falcons including having five prime-time games on their schedule this season. With the first coming in week two.

The Atlanta Falcons schedule has been released and with it plenty of prime-time games to look forward to. The first will be in the Falcon’s second week against the Green Bay Packers a re-match of an NFC Championship games that the Falcons blew the Packers off the field in. Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan will likely make this one a track meet.

Week seven will be the next time the Falcons will be in prime-time and this time they will be the ones looking to get a bit of revenge. Playing New England in the regular season may not mean as much but a win against Tom Brady and the Patriots in prime-time would be a bit of revenge for the collapse the Falcons suffered in the Super Bowl.

Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks was one of the more memorable match-ups of the season with the Hawks winning the first match-up in Seattle on a no call and the Falcons winning in Atlanta knocking Seattle out of the playoffs.

Week eleven will give the Falcons another chance to go into Seattle and find a win. In one of the loudest stadiums in all of sports that is not going to be an easy task.

Just when you thought that the Saints were done competing and Drew Brees was the only worrisome player on their team they went out and added Adrian Peterson. If Peterson is close to the player he has been in past seasons the week fourteen prime-time game could be a very good one.

The final prime-time game of the year will be against the Tampa Bay Bucs the very next week. Taking on Jameis Winston and an up and coming defense is a good match-up that the Falcons are going to have twice this season with the second being in prime-time on the road.

We may not have the Super Bowl re-match we were hoping for to open the season but the Falcon’s schedule is full of other prime-time games to mark on the calendar.  The Falcons will open the season against the Chicago Bears. Anyone willing to bet that the first play called will be a run?
