The Atlanta Hawks have plenty of decisions to make this off-season none bigger than what to do with the problem that is Dwight Howard. Will Howard remain in Atlanta or can the Hawks find a way to move on from the center?

The Atlanta Hawk’s center Dwight Howard has become something of a problem child in Atlanta after letting it be known he was less than happy about the way his minutes had been managed in the playoffs. It isn’t the fact that he wanted to play that makes Howard a problem that drive is something that all NBA players have.

The difference for Howard is it often results in a bad attitude and poor body language that ended with Howard benched more than once. Dwight Howard has been a part of the Rockets, Lakers, and Magic all ending badly with Howard leaving town in disappointing fashion.

Dwight Howard came to Atlanta on a three year deal worth plenty of money one that is going to be hard if not impossible to move. This limits the Hawks options as to who might be interested in the veteran center.

If Howard is unable to be moved in the off-season it will be interesting to see what the Hawks do with the Dwight’s minutes and if he does stay in Atlanta for the remainder of his contract. No doubt after dealing with Paul Millsap’s contract the Hawks will turn their attention to attempting to trying to trade Dwight Howard.

Howard’s trade value is very diminished and the Hawks might look to move the center for nothing more than a salary dump. The problem with the Hawks moving Howard is the fact with limited center talent on the free agent market the Hawks would create a hole on their team by moving Howard even though it would fix one problem it could create another. Two rounds of the playoffs remain before the off-season begins in earnest.
