Craig Kimbrel (2010-2014)

Last but not least is Craig Kimbrel.  He may  be fairly new to the major leagues but he’s making noise, as he seems to be un-hittable. Kimbrel made his appearance with the Braves in 2010 where he pitched in 21 games with a .44 ERA, going 4-0, and having 40 strikeouts while pitching in 20.2 innings.

He received the well deserved National League’s Rookie of the Year Award in 2011. After all, he did average 3.9 hits per nine innings pitched. In his last years as a closer for Atlanta, Kimbrel averaged a 2.10 ERA, went 4-3, had 46 saves which surpassed Smoltz’s record and had 127 strikeouts in only 77 games. He was traded  in 2015, despite the cries of irate Atlanta fans making Kimbrel a fan favorite.
