The Atlanta Braves are teetering on that fine line between being buyers or sellers in 2017. But there are moves needed in the coming off-season regardless.

Heading into this week’s huge series with the New York Mets to determine who poses the threat to the Washington Nationals, the Atlanta Braves sit 25-32. This is the same ball club that sat at 17-42 exactly a year ago today, and yet the Braves sit here vying to get back to .500 baseball.

The 2016 season was plagued before it ever got underway, and from fan attendance, to the overall product on the field, the Braves showed no signs of life. Fast forward to 2017 and not only is Atlanta competing, but they’re winning a lot more frequently. Rather than staying far away from social media and ESPN when it came to a score update, Brian Snitker and company are winning more often than not, but what about 2018?

Yes, 2018. You know, the season John Coppolella and company promised the Braves would return to form and compete for a World Championship? But how? This team, while improved, still seemingly has so many holes in its lineup unless the team makes a splash in the offseason. Here are five players that the front office could target to jumpstart the journey back to the postseason.
