The Atlanta Braves are teetering on that fine line between being buyers or sellers in 2017. But there are moves needed in the coming off-season regardless.

Alex Cobb SP. June 15, 2013 will go down as one of the scariest moments in baseball when Alex Cobb was hit by a line drive to the head while pitching against the Kansas City Royals. His stat line to end the year however, certainly raises some eyebrows. Cobb in his 2013 season following his head injury finished the season 11-3 with a 2.76 ERA. Examining the Atlanta Braves starting rotation for the next few years includes the addition very young arms who will need some guidance, and that’s where Cobb enters stage right. At only 29 years old, and 30 come next season, Cobb has the ability to lead a core of young, talented arms averaging a 3.57 career ERA.
