The Atlanta Braves are teetering on that fine line between being buyers or sellers in 2017. But there are moves needed in the coming off-season regardless.

Chris Sale SP. Yes, I’ll admit of all the starting pitchers on the list, Sale is by far the longest stretch (no pun intended). Heading into the winter last year, Sale’s name was tied to the Braves in quite a few reports, but fell through in part to the White Sox requiring a certain shortstop named Dansby Swanson. It’s undeniable that Sale is currently one of the best arms in the majors averaging a 2.99 ERA with a 1.06 WHIP, but the reason this is such a long shot is the money he will be asking for. The Red Sox were willing to take Sale’s contract that will pay him $39,500,000 in the next three seasons, which the Braves could certainly not top if they want to sign a variety of players this offseason.
