Major League Baseball just held and finished its amateur draft for 2017. The Atlanta Braves, like most teams, have a history of hit and miss. Here is a review.

2015: (RHP) Michael Soroka- 28th Overall

Another of these “Young Guns” that everybody keeps talking about. Meaning, the future of the Braves literally, and I mean this literally, rests in their hands.

Soroka, from Calgary, Canada, is the type of Pitcher that can move the needle. At 6-5, 225, much like Sean Newcomb, he has the size to put with technique and acumen that could prove useful. If Soroka turns into what he’s supposed to turn into, he will be an integral part of the rebuild.

Mr. Soroka is currently 8-3 in 13 games with a 2.23 ERA at AA Mississippi. In short, look out.
