Major League Baseball just held and finished its amateur draft for 2017. The Atlanta Braves, like most teams, have a history of hit and miss. Here is a review.

Joey Wentz, the less heralded of the young Pitchers taken in the 1st Round of 2016, has acquitted himself well. Much like his Draft day compadre, Anderson, he has gone through three levels of minor league ball fairly quickly and is currently with Rome.

In 60 innings pitched, Wentz is 3-3, has a 3.30 ERA, giving up 55 H, 20 BB, and 64 SO. Opposing BA is .252 and he sports a WHIP of 1.25.
