Major League Baseball just held and finished its amateur draft for 2017. The Atlanta Braves, like most teams, have a history of hit and miss. Here is a review.

Minor was initially drafted by Tampa Bay in the 13th round of the 2006 draft, but chose to attend Vanderbilt University instead. After a dominant collegiate career, the bet paid off with Atlanta taking him 7th overall in the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft.

Lots of hope for Minor rested with Braves fans, and at times, the big lefty flashed promise. In his five years in Atlanta, however, Minor never could get his ERA below 3.21 in a season.

He currently plays for the Kansas City Royals and is 3-1 with an ERA of 2.12 in 34 IP (25 games).
