With the emergence of Matt Adams at First Base, the Atlanta Braves have a unique and good problem: Two quality 1st Basemen. Here is a list of the greatest in their history.

Andres Galarraga (1998 & 2000)

Andres Galarraga didn’t play for the Braves for long, but he did make a lot of noise during that run. His nickname “Big Cat” came from his impressively quick cat-like reflexes and absolutely seamless defensive skills on first base, despite his large  size. During his first season in Atlanta he had 44 home runs, batted .305, and 121 RBI. He had to take a year off due to his battle with Lymphoma but soon returned in 2000 to add another 100 RBI and his 5th, and last, All-Star appearance. Galarraga had 1105 put-outs in his 2000 season and ended his time with the Braves by winning the National League Comeback Player of the Year Award.
