At this point you are probably scratching your head wondering why in the world the Braves would want to bring Frazier to Atlanta who is set to become a free-agent and hitting a smashing .207.   Okay, I almost talked myself out of making Frazier’s case with that blurb but hang with the reasoning for a moment.

If the Sox were willing to move Frazier at a decent price for a less than coveted prospect the Braves should buy low on Frazier. The Braves have made a living doing two things taking advantage of Georgia native players and buying low and selling high. Adding Frazier would give the Braves a true third baseman and allow Freddie Freeman to move back to his true position.

Matt Adams is starting to cool off and the Braves moving him to a bench role or trading him all-together is the best move and would give Freeman the ability to play his best position. If you need proof look at the four runs that Freeman saved against the Cubs his last start at 1st.

But back to Frazier, he is a hitter who has struggled since going to the tough atmosphere that is the Chicago White Sox team. Buying low of Frazier and providing a change of scenery would be a good move for the Braves only if they decide to move Adams and the Sox’s expect little in return for Frazier which is doubtful unless their recent asks are simply posturing.
