The Atlanta Falcons are set for a season that is going to be more mental than any season has before it in recent memory. A season after a Super Bowl loss is never easy a season after losing the biggest Super Bowl lead in history is going to be beyond difficult.

Having talent isn’t the problem for the Atlanta Falcons the problem will be the mental warfare that is going to happen. Whether it is focusing and keeping the focus on a game in the regular season or dealing with the endless post-Super Bowl questions that will continue to follow them.

Keeping their focus on the game in front of them and not looking to far into the future is going to be the difficult thing for the Falcons to do. The Falcons are going to have to fight through looking to far ahead and not letting the endless media questions get into their heads.

Having a stacked roster will work in the Falcon’s favor as well as the youth on the Falcons roster mixed with the veteran leadership. Matt Ryan is going to have to continue to be the leader and play at the level that he did last season if the Falcons are going to be able to avoid any Post-Super Bowl bumps.

With youth and the leadership of Dan Quinn the Falcons will be able to overcome their Super Bowl loss and return to the playoffs. What is hard to guess is how far they will manage to go beyond that. The Cowboys and Giants both have talented rosters along with the division rival Tampa Bay Bucs who have an up-and-coming roster that could look to challenge the Falcons this year in the division.

There is no question that the Falcons are set for a season that will have take more of a mental focus than any one before it. The question is not whether or not they will be locked in but how far it will take them?
