  1. Alex Smith

Rumblings in Kansas City seem to point towards Smith losing his job in the near future. The fact that it is even being talked about is laughable. Smith is a game manager admittedly but he is also consistently helping his team stay in the playoff race and not turning the ball over.

Going into a year with explosive talent at wide receiver and running back fans should be a bit more optimistic when it comes to Smith. His arm is above average and he has the ability to keep plays alive in the pocket though scrambling isn’t his speciality.

Smith is already what fans in Kansas City want a franchise quarterback who is not going to turn the ball over a ton. Taking a quarterback was as much a message to Alex Smith as anyone this season he is going to have to win a playoff game or two to keep his job next season.

If Smith and the Chiefs fail to advance in the playoffs again this year it is hard to see the clamoring for a new quarterback not happening and coming true for Chiefs fans. Alex Smith could well be looking for a new team if that happens.
