  1. Matt Ryan

Want to talk about some high and low moments? Matt Ryan’s career has seemingly been a roller coaster of sorts that seems to be hitting the highest point so far. After a great start and several playoff appearances the Falcons struggled badly as did Matt Ryan.

While he was still one of the better starters in the game Ryan wasn’t the same player as when he entered the NFL. Two years later and not only is he coming off of an NFC winning campaign (Let’s forget the Super Bowl collapse) he also won his first MVP award and is set to return a lot of the same roster that made the Super Bowl.

What was perhaps most interesting about Ryan’s season was the fact that he finished 2nd in yardage behind Drew Brees but was 17th in attempted passes while leading in QBR. Let that sink in for a minute. Think about the accuracy he had to have while still airing it out down the field to rack up that much yardage.

Matt Ryan had a season that put him solidly inside the top ten players in the League and the top five quarterbacks. The problem is now he will have to follow it up.
