NFL: Quarterback Power Rankings
By Kit Anderson
- Tom Savage/Deshaun Watson/Brandon Weeden
Okay, okay, I get it Brandon Weeden is probably not going to be the Texans opening game quarterback but to be fair the Texans seem to be able to win enough to get in the playoffs with anyone under center why not Weeden?
Deshaun Watson should be the starter for the Texans the rookie has the poise and leadership capability to control this roster Weeden is the back-up and Tom Savage will need to light it up to keep his job. Remember a few years ago when the Broncos had a similar situation and a certain former Florida Gator’s quarterback was put in and pushed the team into the playoffs? That is what is going to happen this season with the Texans.
Tom Savage will likely start the season as the starter and manage to keep the Texans in games but he is not going to be able to win against some of the better offenses in the League. Enter Deshaun Watson and from there what will happen will be anyone’s guess. Watson has the athleticism but will he be able to hold up taking NFL level punishment? We will find out just how good both Watson and Savage are this season and your welcome for the completely unnecessary Tim Tebow reference.
