The Atlanta Braves went from bordering on looking like a contending team to being swept by the Phillies. Showing themselves unable to play consistently the Braves should now opt to sell off every asset that they can.

It is for the Atlanta Braves front office to push the eject button on any hopes that they had of contending this season and opt to focus on selling off veterans to brighten next year’s future. Next season was the goal for the Braves to be contending again and they have shown a lot of progress towards doing just that.

But that progress has been slowed as of late and the Braves roster is full of easily moved pieces. Anyone who is not considered a part of the Braves long term core should be moved if they could net any type of return.

A sell off will not be a popular move among fans but it is the right thing to do with the Braves having fallen out of contention and plenty of marketable pieces on their roster. Selling is right decision to make as the Braves start to focus on next season.

Matt Adams is one player that the Braves should focus on trying to trade. Moving Adams would allow Freeman to move back to his natural position and give the Braves somewhere to move their current shortstop once Dansby Swanson is called back up.

Moving Adams would give the Braves a roster another spot to use on one of their young prospects as well. R.A. Dickey is another name that the Braves should look to move off of their roster the veteran has given the Braves a lot of quality innings moving him would give one of the Braves young arms a chance to get a taste of the Majors before next season when the Braves aim to be contenders.
