The Atlanta Braves season is all but over in hopes of contention but there are still plenty of moves that need to be made both now and at the end of the season. Trading some key pieces and giving others a chance to play will be key to the Braves transitioning to contention.
The Atlanta Braves infield has become increasingly interesting over the last few weeks with veteran Brandon Phillips having nowhere to play despite his great defense due to top prospect Ozzie Albies being called up. Not only that but Freddie Freeman has been moved back to his natural position with Matt Adams now out patrolling left field.
Bringing up Ozzie was a smart move for the Braves that will give the young infielder time to adjust to Major League pitching before the Braves are aiming to truly compete next season. Not only that but they added Lucas Sims to their rotation who will give Braves fans another reason to watch as Sims looks to establish himself as part of the Braves core.
While both of these moves are the right moves to make there are still moves that need to be made both now and at the end of the season. Here are five moves that the Braves need to make before the end of the year.
