Atlanta Braves: Ronald Acuna Pushing the Braves to Trade
By Kit Anderson
The Atlanta Braves may have a future star on their hand in Ronald Acuna. For those fans who do not pay attention to the Triple-A team since being promoted a few weeks ago Acuna hasn’t missed a beat continuing to tear up the minor leagues.
Atlanta Braves fans need to get excited for what could soon be one of their starting outfielders. What Acuna has done in the minor leagues this season is impressive and should more than earn him a call up once rosters expand in a few weeks.
Another aspect of his emergence is the fact that it will likely push the Braves towards making a trade this off-season. The Braves list of young talent to find positions for is growing quickly and to accommodate Acuna at least one trade will have to be worked.
Ender Inciarte is one of the best center fielders in the game and a true lead-off hitter that the Braves have lacked for some time he is off the table. That leaves left and right field with Matt Kemp and Nick Markakis the current residents.

Nick Markakis would likely be the most marketable player with Kemp’s salary going through the roof and his struggles to stay healthy this season. Trading Markakis would allow the Braves to have an outfield from left to right of Matt Kemp, Ender Inciarte, and Ronald Acuna.
Acuna is still only nineteen-years old and will not turn twenty until December. He has the potential to be a true five tool player which is the reason for his number one ranking of the Braves current top prospects. His power is quickly developing and soon could become a much bigger part of his game.
