Atlanta Falcons: Julio Jones Set for Biggest Season Yet

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones may have already established himself as the best receiver in the League but he may be set for the biggest season yet. If Jones can stay healthy don’t be surprised if he puts up the best season in his career.
If the Atlanta Falcons are going to return to the playoffs and have success one of the biggest factors this season will be if Julio Jones can stay healthy. Despite their limited success without Jones it is important to remember the teams that the Falcons were facing when they were without him.
Jones is headed into the season healthy and as the clear number one target on a stacked Falcon’s offense. Not only that but in past when Matt Ryan has gone under an offensive coordinator change he leans on Jones more than usual.
Targeting him more and giving him more deep looks down the field. Add in that and the fact that Jones will not want to be used as a decoy as much as he was last season he is set for what could be his best season yet.

The one thing that could slow Jones down is injury. His play style may make him a beast of a player on the field but it also has its down sides including making Jones a lot more prone to injuries over the past seasons.
Regardless, Julio Jones is set to put up his best numbers as long as Ryan continues the trend and Jones can stay on the field. The Falcons receiving core has plenty of weapons that will give Jones the ability to break more routes for longer gains as well something he does very well for a receiver his size.

Taylor Gabriel will be a player of interest to watch as well. Whether he will suffer a production drop-off after coaches have had a year to study the speedster or if he will thrive in the new offense.
