The Atlanta Hawks full schedule has been released and the team will have several notable games that we will highlight. With a rebuilding roster the Hawks may not be contenders but there are still plenty of teams worth going to see at Phillips Arena this season.

The Atlanta Hawks schedule was released earlier this week and with it come the dates that Hawks fans need to mark on their calendars. The first will be the Hawk’s home-opener on October the 26th against the Nuggets.

This game will be interesting not only because it will be the home-opener for the Hawks but it will be the return of Paul Millsap for the first time since leaving Atlanta. After an interesting exit from Atlanta Millsap will be looking for a bit of revenge on his former team add in the fact that neither team is fielding a particularly scary roster and this game should be a relatively close one.

The next game that fans should pay attention to comes on November 30th when the Hawks will take on Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavs. Watching James in person is more than enough reason for the price of admission for any basketball fan. The Cavs could likely be without Kyrie Irving as well making this match up potentially closer for the Hawks.

January 31st will be another homecoming of sorts for the Hawks when Dwight Howard returns to Atlanta the Hawks will be playing Dwight and the Hornets twice before they come to Atlanta. How the crowd responds to Howard and how he plays in his return are two things that make this game more than worth watching.

Lonzo Ball and the Lakers will come to Atlanta on February 26th. While adding the Lakers may seem odd they are a up-and-coming team that is getting better fast and a team that the Hawks may attempt to pattern their rebuild after.

Next: Braves Off-season Targets

Two games later Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and the Warriors will be in Atlanta to take on the Hawks on March 2nd. Much like going simply to see Lebron James play in person going to see the Warriors is almost a must. Like them or not they are the best team in the history of the NBA and well worth watching.
