The Georgia Bulldogs were ranked 15th overall in the AP pre-season top twenty five. The ranking is high considering the Bulldogs struggles last season but is deserved considering the talent they added.

The Georgia Bulldogs 15th ranking is the 4th highest ranking in the SEC the Bulldogs rank behind Auburn,LSU, and no surprisingly Alabama who is ranked first overall headed into the season. Florida is ranked two spots behind the Bulldogs as well and should be the only legitimate threat to the Dawgs within their division.

Considering the struggles that the team had last season the ranking is surprising but deserved when you factor in how much talent has been added to the roster. With one of the best recruiting classes in football Georgia is set to take a big step forward this season.

Not only that but young quarterback Jacob Eason will likely show marked improvement with a season under his belt and a quarterback who could take his job lurking behind him. The offensive line is improved as well and if healthy the Georgia backfield could be the best in the SEC.

Nick Chubb is coming off of his worst season as a Bulldog but could show big improvement considering that the serious injury he suffered has likely had time to fully heal. Fans often forget just how explosive Chubb was before the injury having given him more than a full year now to recover should help him regain the explosiveness that he was missing last season.

Not only that but Chubb suffered from a poor offensive line performance for much of last season. The smallest offensive line Georgia has had in a number of years was unable to push any defensive front around and provided limited room for the backs.

That will improve this season as will the team as a whole. The 15th ranking is an accurate one, one that shows the team’s potential and puts the pressure on them.
