The Georgia Bulldogs focused their attention on recruiting the best class that the school has seen in a long time including a quarterback that could compete with Jacob Eason. It is time to sink or swim this season for Eason after getting one full season of experience.

The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked 15th currently in the AP poll and will soon kick off their season against Appalachian State. The biggest focus since last season has been improvement at the quarterback position and the offensive line.

Jacob Eason came in as a true freshman quarterback and looked great at times and like a true freshman at others. Not only that but Eason often carried himself with a cockiness that was unearned and appeared to have lackadaisical attitude that was surprising for a quarterback that hasn’t proven anything at the college level.

The Bulldogs addressed that concern by adding a quarterback who in the event that Eason under performs is more than capable of taking over at quarterback. Because of that and the pure arm talent that Eason has he is set to take a big step forward this season.

His accuracy wasn’t the problem as much last season as it was the fact he was not on the same page as his receivers resulting in mistimed throws and drops. That will improve this season along with his focus and knowledge of how to run and SEC offense.

Jacob Eason is a future NFL quarterback who has the confidence and arm strength nailed down now it is time for him to take the next step and up his completion percentage and leading this team to an SEC championship.

While that may seem pre-mature the Bulldog’s have an exceptionally easy SEC schedule and with the newly added talent should at least earn a trip to the SEC championship game.
