Atlanta Falcons: Finalize Roster Without Any Surprises
By Kit Anderson
The Atlanta Falcons finalized their roster as did every other NFL team as the NFL season will begin Thursday. The roster is as expected with no surprises and looks to have few holes on the depth chart.
The Atlanta Falcons roster is in and there are no surprises. The team depth charts projections were spot on and varied little from the final roster that the Falcons turned in over the weekend. Cutting players that had under performed or never had a chance to make the roster.
Depth looks to be good at every position for the Falcons the with exception of the defensive line. The line looks good but if injury strikes this season the depth at the position could become an issue. That is one thing that the Falcons should look to address if an upgrade is available.
Another interesting note is that Nick Williams made the roster. Williams will be down in the depth chart but the receiver has bounced on and off the roster. Williams is a talented receiver but at best will be the fourth option on the roster.
The Atlanta Falcons will have one of the deepest rosters they have ever had if their new additions live up to expectations. Matt Ryan is coming off of his best season to date and the Atlanta Falcons are expecting more of the same.

Add in a young and faster defense and it is hard to not see this team’s record improving on last year regardless if they advance as far as they did last season. The year will start a week from today against the Chicago Bears.
