Atlanta Falcons: Made the Right Decision Cutting Hageman
By Kit Anderson
The Atlanta Falcons made the tough decision to cut Ra’Shede Hageman the defensive lineman made the commissioners exempt list and the Falcons made the right decision cutting ties with the lineman.
The Atlanta Falcons have cut Hageman despite the fact that nothing has come out yet as to the reasoning officially. The reasoning is clear however, when you consider that the domestic violence allegations have reportedly had new information come to light that the Falcons felt they had enough of Hageman.
After the mess that was caused when Michael Vick was arrested before Matt Ryan took over at quarterback the Falcons have shied away from any controversial athletes. The same reasoning applies here, obviously what the Falcons found out was worth cutting a valuable roster piece. Considering that it was completely the correct decision to move on from the defensive lineman.
No doubt as the season goes more information will come out on Hageman. Hageman was a draft pick who has never lived up to his abilities and his latest problems were the last straw. The production was not there for the Falcons to put any risk in Hageman.
The Atlanta Falcons defense is still a deep unit without Hageman that should have no problem getting after the quarterback. The Chicago Bears will be the Atlanta Falcon’s first defensive test of the season as the first game will kick-off this Sunday.

The Chicago Bears should offer little resistance to a team with a lot more offensive and defensive team in the Atlanta Falcons.
