Atlanta Braves: Have Players They Should Trade Now
By Kit Anderson
The Atlanta Braves may not have many highly marketable pieces that they should trade but their roster is full of players that they should make an attempt to move on from.
The Atlanta Braves roster is full of young talent but it is also full of pieces that the Braves need to move on from if they want to take a step towards contention. This is not as much an indictment on the players as it is the fact that they were part of losing teams and it is now time to replace them with guys who know how to win.
Matt Adams is the biggest piece that the Braves should try to move. Matt Adams is quietly having a very good season that will look attractive to teams looking to trade for a 1st baseman or DH. Adams is hitting .270 and already has hit twenty homers with a month to go.
While you could argue for Adams to get the starting job in left field it is hard to imagine the Braves wanting another outfielder to contend with considering that they will likely have to move Matt Kemp or Nick Markakis to make room for a top prospect.
Trading Adams is the right move to make and the sooner the Braves make the move the higher their return will likely be.
Matt Wisler is a player that has had success at the big league level and has the talent. The problem for the pitcher is confidence and he seems unable to find that with his current coaching staff a change of scenery shouldn’t be out of the question though much of a return if any is unlikely.

Jace Peterson and Adonis Garcia are two other names that the Braves should consider moving on from considering their struggles and the fact that they could use a change of scenery as well. No doubt the 2017-18 off-season will be a busy one for the Atlanta Braves.
