The Atlanta Braves may have found their fourth outfielder for next season in Lane Adams. While Adams may not be lighting up the score board he is quietly having a very good year from the Braves bench.

The Atlanta Braves are going to have yet another losing season but have found a lot of future pieces this season including bench player Lane Adams. While focusing on the young position players or young pitchers it is important to point out that Lane Adams is having a great season.

Adams has hit .297 with a .384 on-base percentage in 74 trips to the plate this season. That production is encouraging with with bench struggles that the Braves have had over the past few seasons.

Adams has likely locked up a spot on the roster next season as the 4th outfielder. He will likely be joining Ender Inciarte and Ronald Acuna with one of Matt Kemp or Nick Markakis completing the outfield dependent on which of the two is dealt this off-season.

It is rare to see a career minor league player like Lane Adams turn it around and make a Major League roster as any type of productive player Adams has not only done that but shown he is more than capable of playing as the 4th outfielder next season as well.

The Braves bench will likely have Lane Adams and young utility man Johan Camargo on the bench and will need to add a back-up catcher and a power bat to the bench.
