2. Pay What it Take to Move Matt Kemp

Ronald Acuna is one of the most exciting young position players that the Braves will have competing for a roster spot next season and as of now there is no roster spot that he will be able to fill.

Paying what it takes to move on from Matt Kemp will be the right move to make and take a step forward and away from the old regime. Bringing in Kemp worked for a short time but being overpaid and often hurt Kemp needs to move on and allow the Braves to keep a more durable Nick Markakis and up and coming Ronald Acuna in the starting lineup.

The problem for the Braves will be finding a suitor for Kemp one who is willing to take a portion of Kemp’s contract. Getting a return will be very unlikely unless the Braves were to attempt to trade a salary dump for another salary dump.

The Braves best move would have been  have been tied to Kemp in the first place but they are now responsible for the veteran’s salary and are going to have to find a way to move on from the overpaid contract.
