5. Trade Trouble

Trading players is rarely fun for a team or it’s fan base but the Braves have a lot of players that they need to choose to move on from and bring in players who know how to win. Mike Foltynewicz is one of the bigger names that the Braves should move on from.

Folynewicz has not put it all together yet as a pitcher and is likely a finished product as a pitcher. Though it may not be a popular move trading him would be the right decision considering that his value from here will only go in the wrong direction.

Considering his velocity the Braves will find a team that is willing to overpay for the flame thrower and give the Braves a rotation spot for a younger or a more consistent option that can offer not just the ability to throw heat but the ability to truly pitch.

Jace Peterson and Matt Adams are two other players that the Braves should look to move on from with other utility options Peterson doesn’t have a clear roster spot.

Adams filled in nicely for Freeman but once Freeman was back there were few places to play Adams that he could play above average defense. Moving Adams will free up a place as well for a bench player who can bring more to the Braves.
