7. Tyson Ross

Tyson Ross is an interesting free agent that the Braves should only target much like Alex Cobb only if the price was right. Ross was at one time a very promising arm with the Padres and since then has failed to bounce back from his arm surgery.

Ross is a big bounce back contract that could pay dividends if he is able to find anything close to the form he had with the Padres.  Tyson has regained a lot of velocity but has struggled to maintain his location and movement that he had before his injury.

The Braves should look into Ross as a potential value signing. If Ross is willing to accept a prove it incentive laden type of deal.

Ross would slot into the Braves rotation without blocking any of their top prospects while still having the ability to pitch at a high level if he is able to bounce back.

The Braves have shown a tendency under their former leadership to bring in guys like Tyson Ross to build their value or provide value to the team. It is hard to guess if the new GM will have the same strategy regardless, Ross could be a fit for the Braves.
