The Atlanta Braves depth chart at catcher may be full for now, but Brian McCann recently let it be known he wouldn’t mind again being an Atlanta Brave. McCann spent the first few years of his career with the Braves before recently winning a World Series with the Houston Astros.

Atlanta Braves fans will remember Brian McCann well. McCann was a fan favorite in Atlanta for a long time and for good reason considering the quality of his play and ability to call games behind the plate.

In a recent article that you can read here on Yahoo McCann hinted at returning to the Atlanta Braves at some point in the future and maybe ending his career in Atlanta.

While a reunion will not happen this year due to the two years on McCann’s deal and Tyler Flowers and Kurt Suzuki holding things down behind the plate for the Braves.

Brian McCann coming back to end his career in Atlanta in the next couple of years is very possible looking at his contract and the fact that the Braves are likely to be in the market for a catcher at the same time as McCann’s contract comes to an end.

Brian McCann is coming off of leading a young pitching staff to a World Series win and made it clear as well that he was happy in Houston but that Atlanta would be his home.

McCann coming back to Atlanta as the Braves are again becoming legitimate contenders would be a great story line for both sides if it was to happen.
