3. Add Blake Treinen back to the NL East

Blake Treinen struggled badly to begin the season before being added to the Oakland A’s and putting it all together as a closer and looking great more than not in the later innings. The A’s are always willing to deal so Treinen is almost certainly on the market.

His struggles to start the year with the Washington Nationals will hurt his trade value somewhat and make him an under the radar target for a lot of teams.  With plenty of years left of control the Braves should attempt to add Treinen and give him the closer’s role if they are unable to add a better closing option.

Jim Johnson if very clearly not the closer that a winning team needs. The Braves need to add late inning options to their bullpen and adding Blake Treinen would be doing just that.

The only problem for the Braves will be how much the A’s expect considering how good that Treinen was for the Athletics. A non-prospect and another change of scenery candidate would likely get this deal done for anyone that wants to add Treinen.

Whether or not it is Treinen the Braves need to add to the back of the bullpen.
