7. Michael Fulmer is an interesting option with some red flags

The Atlanta Braves were tied to Michael Fulmer and are rumored to have been very close to bringing him to Atlanta. The Tigers are yet another team that is working to rebuild and Fulmer will likely be on the move after a surprising break out season.

Fulmer is a hard player to evaluate and has many red flags attached to him that the Braves should shy away from unless they were to miss on all the other top pitching options on the market.

Fulmer is coming off of a career season that no one expected him to have with his pitching talent that is one red flag in itself. The other issue is if you delve into his stats there is cause for concern that a lot of his success was a product of defensive placement and a little bit of luck more than anything.

The Braves should cautiously be looking into Michael Fulmer but hesitate to pay a huge price for a player who may have already had his best season.  If the Braves were to add Fulmer it would be a risk that they should be taking only if they have exhausted all other options and have done their homework on a pitcher with several question marks.
