The Georgia Bulldogs will get their chance at redemption next Saturday in Atlanta after Auburn knocked off Alabama to head to Atlanta to face the Dawgs for the SEC Championship. The game comes as a surprise considering it seemed all but decided that it would be Alabama and Georgia vying for a playoff spot next Saturday.

The Georgia Bulldogs finished their season strong on Saturday taking care of Georgia Tech in another blowout before sitting back to watch and see who they would take on in the SEC championship.

After a slow start Auburn came back and took over the game in the second half beating Alabama on the ground and most importantly in the trenches across both the defensive and offensive lines. A 26-14 final has Auburn headed to Atlanta to face a Georgia team that this time will be more than ready to face the Auburn Tigers.

Things will be very different this time when the Georgia Bulldogs face Auburn next Saturday. Georgia will not be over confident and will be angry considering that Auburn derailed their playoff plans and Georgia must beat Auburn to have any hope of making the playoffs.

Sony Michel and Nick Chubb are going to have to play better and Jake Fromm is going to have to be given more time if the Dawgs want a chance to beat Auburn and make their first playoff appearance.

Auburn winning on Saturday is a weird twist to a college football season that seemed all but decided. The fact that the Tigers will have to travel to Atlanta shouldn’t be under rated the Bulldogs home stadium is only an hour away from Atlanta and that will give them a huge advantage that they didn’t have when they got smacked going into Auburn with a bit more confidence then they should have had.

The biggest question about this game is if Auburn were to win could a two loss team make the playoffs? If not the SEC could all be sitting at home watching come playoff time
