  1. Freddie Freeman must stay healthy!

While he will likely miss some time at one point or another, like almost every other player in the League, Freddie Freeman must stay healthy for the long stretches of the season. Freeman is the face of the Braves and carries their offense.

As Freddie Freeman goes so does the rest of the offense. His hot streaks seems to often coincide with the Braves best stretches over the last few years and the Braves must rely on him anchoring the lineup.

If Freeman misses any large stretches of time the Braves will not be anywhere close to contention in 2018. While one player rarely carries so much value in baseball Freddie Freeman is one of the few who is truly invaluable to his team and an offense that will look to his consistency.

Freeman doesn’t have to put together an MVP year to help the team compete only consistent production and a better situational approach. When he gets his chances with runners on base he must take advantage often with little protection in the lineup behind him.

If Freeman can stay healthy for the majority of the season the Braves offense will take a step forward as will their record in 2018.
