Atlanta Braves: What to Look For in Spring Training
By Kit Anderson
- Is it time to give up on Blair?
Matt Wisler and Aaron Blair were both supposed to be a part of the Braves rotation at this point. Neither has lived up to expectations and will have few of them headed into Spring. Some early news from this Spring is that Blair has been working hard this off-season and shown up in much better shape.
While the old cliché of showing up in “the best shape of my life” every Spring could apply here it is only fair to note that Blair does look to be in much better health and game shape.
Watching how that affects him in games and if he is improved at all will be an interesting story to watch. Blair struggled in the Minors last season much less giving any production to the Braves.
Could Blair finally be ready to put it all together or is it time to give up on the once top prospect? Blair is twenty-five and has put his prospect days behind him it is time for him to put it together or the Braves will need to move on from Blair and put his roster spot to better use.
