Atlanta Braves Live Action to Return on Friday
By Kit Anderson
After what has felt to be an endless off-season baseball is finally back for the Atlanta Braves. The Braves will kick this Spring Training season off on Friday with the first of three long trips.
The Atlanta Braves will kick off Spring Training play on Friday traveling to take on the New York Mets. Starters are not expected to make the trip with players competing for spots and prospects expected to make up the lineups on Friday.
Rio Ruiz is expected to start the game at 1st base. Ruiz will be one player that is worth keeping an eye on early this spring. He has an outside chance of making the roster with the questions at third base for the Braves.
Watching his confidence and recognition at the plate will be indicative early if he has a chance of making the roster.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 PM on the road. It will be the first of three long road trips meaning, the Braves are unlikely to have many of their starters on hand for the first few games of the season.
The games can be followed on MLB TV or on Braves radio network. Keeping an eye on games early in spring training will be a must for Braves fans as games will be full of the Braves future.
Baseball is finally back and Braves fans should get ready for one of the most entertaining springs in a number of years. Friday’s starters should be announced shortly before game time, updates to follow.
