The Georgia Bulldogs (16-12) Men’s Basketball team has two final regular season games. The possible seed in the SEC Tournament is peak Mark Fox.

That proverbial hot seat has been seen trucking north on 316 in recent days. The Georgia Bulldogs Basketball team finds itself in a familiar place: Probably not making the tournament, but could with some late season magic. But with two games left in the regular season, the SEC Tournament seeding possibilities for the Dawgs is perfect peak Mark Fox and his time there.

Now, to be fair, the entire SEC is crazy this year. This graphic plied from Twitter gives you an idea:

That reflects the situation before the results Tuesday night. The entire conference is in flux. But, for Fox and his Dawgs, it is a yearly thing.

The idea that Georgia could wind up either the 5th seed or 13th seed is ridiculous on the face of it. In fact, it perfectly represents the 2018 team. A little bit of really good. A little bit of really bad, and nothing is settled even this late in the year.

Were UGA to win its last two games, they would secure an even .500 conference record of (9-9). That would be a big deal. An even bigger deal would be to make some noise in the SEC Tournament and somehow make the NCAA.

Anything other than winning these last two regular season games would mean a losing conference record, and probably, a struggle to get in the NIT.

5 or 13.  With two games left. It’s a perfect place to illustrate the Mark Fox era.
