The Atlanta Braves have built an impressive array of prospects that are finally beginning to make their way to the Majors.  Early this spring the Braves’ youth has been impressive and points towards a brighter future.

Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies have been impressing the Atlanta Braves early this Spring Training. Showing off the talent that has long had them ranked as two of the Braves best prospects.

With a combined 20 hits, 5 walks, and 5 stolen bases they have been nothing short of impressive early.  Both players will have a huge role in how the Braves do this season and if they can finally take that elusive step forward.

Rebuilds aren’t any fun for anyone involved the players, the fans, or even the front office who receives plenty of blow back.

That has been the case for the Braves now for a number of seasons and even the face of the Braves is tiring of it. Freddie Freeman made it known he is here to win in Atlanta and didn’t foresee this much losing coming.

Who can blame him?  Freeman coming off of seasons full of watching Chipper Jones, Watching Tim Hudson lead a consistent pitching staff, Folk heroes like Eric Hinske and Brooks Conrad emerge,  and Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman were set to be the next generation of Braves greats.

Needless to say that plan didn’t work out and the Braves have endured painful seasons of losing in true Atlanta sports fashion. Now the Braves have a chance to change that narrative.

The Braves are a team that is showing off players like Albies and Acuna this spring. Players that will finally help the Braves take that step forward.

This season for the Braves may not see their return to the postseason but it will see them finally take a step forward.  Dansby Swanson, Ronald Acuna Jr., and Ozzie Albies will simply be the first wave of talent to reach the Majors as the Braves will spend this season learning how to win again.

While this may seem like an overstatement from the start of Spring Training alone it isn’t.  It is taking into account the Braves talented farm system and the youth and excitement that these players will bring to Atlanta.

Youthful excitement that the Braves fan base has lacked since Jason Heyward hit a towering shot in his debut nearly eight years ago.
