Mike Minor Reunion in Atlanta

The Atlanta Braves front office hasn’t been shy about bringing back former players. It helps create a buzz around the team and brings back former fan favorites.

In this case, it would effectively excite the fans and fill a needed role for the team. Minor is capable of coming out of the pen or starting in the rotation. Either would make sense for a team in need of more consistent veteran pitching.

Minor has experience in high leverage situations closing games last season. He would be a great weapon out of the back of the bullpen or filling in for the rotation.

It also makes sense the Rangers will likely begin to sell pieces at the deadline. With a highly paid veteran roster, they are losing at an alarming rate.

Selling off players like Minor as opposed to fan favorites is likely for a Texas team who hasn’t seen success in some time. Mike Minor back in Atlanta would be a fun storyline for fans and analysts alike, one that would make the team even better in 2018
