Matt Ryan cashed in on his big payday with the Falcons yesterday. The question now is how his new contract affects future Falcons looking to get paid? The contract will set the market for future quarterbacks as well.

Atlanta Falcons Quarterback, Matt Ryan, is locked in on a $150 million contract extension with $100 million guaranteed. Ryan is now the highest paid player in the NFL. While it has been met with mixed reviews, Ryan is deserving of it considering his accolades and taking Atlanta to a Super Bowl.

Ryan’s huge deal now sets the standard for how other quarterbacks are looking to get paid along with a few other Falcons teammates and NFL stars.

Winning a Super Bowl has eluded Ryan, but he is climbing the stat charts and deserving of such a deal.

The deal will keep Ryan locked up until the 2023 season. The biggest piece of the puzzle is there for the Falcons and now they must finally put it all together.
