The Atlanta Braves return to prominence was supposed to be the 2019 or 2020 season. A hot April from some familiar and new faces has the city believing that just maybe this is the year the Braves take the leap forward.

This season was supposed to be about the rookies. April saw the rise of Ozzie Albies and the debut of Ronald Acuna Jr., two superstars in the making for the Braves.

While the young guns have been the talk of the town, just about everyone on the roster has had their moment to shine. Strong starts from some new faces have given the Braves options: the option to hold back a few weeks on bringing Acuna to the majors, the option to resist promoting Jose Bautista to the club.

The starting rotation has found its groove entering May. The offense has been innovative, presenting threats throughout the lineup. Veteran leadership and youthful energy have sparked a lineup surrounded by question marks entering the season.

While the Braves’ hot start has been the definition of teamwork, Atlanta has had its share of stand out performers in the first month of the season.
